Safety

Travel Tip #1: Always carry CASH
Money makes the world go round and CASH is King! If you find yourself in a potentially dangerous situation, if your phone runs out of battery and you can’t contact anyone. It is always important to carry cash on you of the local currency as it can help you book a taxi back to the accomodation, book a room for a night etc. Always have enough on you for a worse case scenario.

Travel Tip #2: Pre-load the map before taking a Taxi/Uber
This is important to ensure you are not getting scammed or being led in the wrong direction in an unknown city. Before getting in a taxi/uber have the route pre-loaded in your phone so you can track if the driver is going in the right direction and not going off course suspiciously.

Travel Tip #3: Bumbag
Pickpocketers can be very common in some countries so having your valuables secure is vitally important. My recommendation is to get a flat bumbag which can easily be tucked under your pants without a bulge to look like you are not even wearing it and keeping your pockets empty of any, cash, cards or phone. Regular bumbags are also effective.
