Belize
Belize is an island lovers paradise! This tropical paradise offers incredible diversity in marine life and is home to the 2nd largest Barrier Reef in the world. The balance of Caribbean soul with laid back island life is epitomised in the most popular island of Caye Caulker where you can be ordering drinks in the water bar at The Split, eating jerk chicken or traditional fried jack from the local street vendors or jamming to reggae beats by the beach.
My personal favourite memory which any scuba divers or snorkelers alike could empathise with me was the opportunity to dive with black tip sharks and snorkel with wild manatees in their natural habitat!
It is the only country in Central America that has English as its offical language and it pegged 2:1 with the $USD making currency conversion simple.
